Skycastle Media is a San Francisco Bay Area PR & brand marketing firm combining top agency resources with insider expertise launching new-category products from concept through market leadership.
We’ve worked with clients to direct dozens of successful product launches for a range of technologies from artificial intelligence/machine learning, carrier telecommunications, semiconductors, enterprise software, and SaaS platforms, among others. Skycastle now works with corporate social responsibility clients who are committed to building high-integrity brands.
My recent focus is on maximizing the symbiosis between public relations and corporate social responsibility programs to help address some of the critical issues of our day.
Before founding Skycastle Media in 2005, I led the ground-up marketing communications efforts for a succession of start-ups ending in one merger and two IPOs. In the start-up arena, six ideas in a thousand secure venture funding. and six in a million make it to IPO.* Insider knowledge of the challenges facing “never-been-done before” launches enables me to work seamlessly with clients while providing the fresh perspective, know-how and agency resources that motivate sourcing a consultant.
In addition to strategic planning and market positioning, my expertise includes crafting and communicating brand stories that matter to people on an emotional level. Brand is an amorphous concept because it’s a feeling. It’s this emotional quality of brand that makes it so powerful. The brain is a three-tiered hierarchy: survival, emotional and rational. The survival and emotional tiers have been around the longest. That means they have seniority. All things being equal, emotion wins.
I attended SFSU, Summa Cum Laude standing where I studied psychology and creative writing. In addition to my work with Skycastle Media, I’m a published writer and award-winning artist.
